Page 1 (3 panels)
Panel 1 A barren landscape. This is America after the
destruction caused by Alex. There are a couple of twisted
trees, dead, but otherwise no life whatsoever.
ALEX
(caption)
Sixteen years ago, a cataclysmic
event occurred that spread
worldwide.
Only the strongest survived the
initial catastrophe, many of the
smaller plants and animals dying.
Panel 2 We see what used to be a fishing town. There's no
sea, so the ships are all lying on their side abandoned.
The houses all look abandoned as well, windows broken,
doors left ajar to let the wind sweep the dust in.
ALEX
(caption)
It also sucked the earth dry of
most of it's oceans, nations no
longer separated by the vast depths
as they once were.
It could have been worse though, as
most of the fresh water was
untouched.
Panel 3 A generic city, empty of life, cars left where
they are, trash floating around on the breeze.
ALEX
(caption)
Humans managed to survive, by
vacating the cities and moving out
to the country-side to try and
cultivate what they could.
Despite the initial destruction,
the world could still produce life,
much of it changed by the power
that had been expelled that day.
I really wish I hadn't been
responsible for this.

Panel 1 A closeup of running feet. These belong to Sirrus,
the 13 year old Indigo who has been surviving as best he
can for the past couple of years, and so looks really
shabby.
ALEX
(caption)
After my assassination, and the
subsequent destruction of life as
we know it, more people like me
started turning up.
Panel 2 Sirrus races through a deserted street,
determination and desperation mixed on his face as he
looks around him.
ALEX
(caption)
Dubbed Indigos, due to the colour
of their eyes, each had special
abilities that set them apart from
everyone else.
Panel 3 Sirrus skids down an alley between two houses and
we see it's a dead end.
ALEX
(caption)
Of course, because of me, Indigos
were feared, believing they would
make a bad situation worse, maybe
even destroying the world
completely.
Panel 4 Two soldiers come racing down the street he just
left. Maybe go for a Halo homage here for the uniform?
Just make sure you can see facial features.
ALEX
(caption)
So what governments still existed
put a bounty on the heads of all
Indigos, and deployed their
soldiers to capture them.
Panel 5 Sirrus looks back over his shoulder fearfully as
he hears the soldiers approaching.
ALEX
(caption)
With both soldiers and people
hoping for a reward coming after
them, life wasn't easy for anyone
with purple eyes.
SOLDIER
(off-panel)
You take the left, I'll take the
right.
Page 3 (6 panels)
Panel 1 One of the soldiers walks down the alley that
Sirrus had gone down, finding it empty. Down by his feet,
we see a small window open to a basement, just big enough
for Sirrus to get through.
Panel 2 Inside the basement, Sirrus leans against the
wall, looking up at the window and watching the soldier's
feet go by.
SOLDIER
(on radio)
No sign of him on this end.
OTHER SOLDIER
(on radio)
Nothing here either. He's got to be
in one of the buildings.
Panel 3 The first soldier stops at the other end of the
house, looking down the road at how many houses there are
in this section.
SOLDIER
There's way too many houses to
check. I say we just toss a grenade
in each one and leave it at that.
OTHER SOLDIER
(on radio)
Whatever you want, man. It might
just flush the little 'dig out of
hiding. I'll wait for him on the
main road.
Panel 4 A medium shot of the soldier pulling a fancy
looking grenade off of his belt.
SOLDIER
Better not let Rheese catch you
using words like that, she'll rag
you up something bad.
Let me know when you're in
position.
Panel 5 Close up of the other soldier, jogging into
position on the main road, blaster ready in his hand.
OTHER SOLDIER
Rheese is just a cocky snap who got
in charge of our unit cos she's got
powers. She couldn't actually rag
anyone.
Ready when you are.
Panel 6 Inset of Sirrus, eyes wide, panicking at this new
development.
Page 4 (5 panels)
Panel 1 Sirrus looks around the basement, trying to find
some way out, or something to hide in. There's nothing
able to help, it's just a typical basement. (of which I've
never seen one, hope you have...)
SIRRUS
(quietly)
no...
Panel 2 Spinning around in the direction of the soldier,
Sirrus powers up. Have fun with how he does this, but know
that it is a struggle for him, he's still new to his
power.
SIRRUS
NO!
Panel 3 A close up of thehe soldier's hand as he pushes
something down on the grenade, activating it.
SOLDIER
Right, grenade is armed, time to --
Panel 4 We see the soldier's eyes roll in the back of his
head and his body droops.
SOLDIER
Squeedle boop funkle.
OTHER SOLDIER
(on radio)
What?
Panel 5 another close up of the soldier's hand dropping
the grenade onto the ground beside him.
OTHER SOLDIER
(on radio)
What the 'don did you just say?
Page 5 (3 panels)
Panel 1 The other soldier sees the explosion around the
house he's guarding, pieces of debris flying around, and
he can't help but covering himself with an arm.
SFX
THWBOOM
OTHER SOLDIER
Woah!
Panel 2 The other soldier presses his earpiece to hear
better.
OTHER SOLDIER
Overkill much?
Yo, you there?
Jense?
Panel 3 Wide shot of the other soldier taking off at a run
for where the first soldier was before the explosion.
